The 17-Ranch is a Quarter Horse breeding operation in Southeastern Montana, located just outside Miles City, MT. (aka. ‘Cow Town, USA’). Miles City is one of the oldest and best known cattle towns in Montana. It’s home to Fort Keogh, the renowned United States Agriculture Research Facility. It’s also home of the world famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale. This area is a rugged mix of prairie, buttes, and badlands; which is anything but flat! We’re blessed to live in a land that truly lends itself to raising top notch performance horses, as the rough and varied terrain naturally builds strong bone, muscle, sure footedness, and athleticism.
We are committed to producing horses that can compete in today's high level of competition without sacrificing the conformation, disposition and structural soundness that the Quarter Horse breed was founded upon. Our goal is to produce trainable and athletic horses out of proven performance bloodlines. To offer prospects that have the most potential possible, we pay strict attention to disposition, conformation, and versatility. Our horses are carefully chosen from select proven performance bloodlines to produce foals with awesome ability, conformation, and attitudes.
We currently have for sale, horses ranging from prospects to proven performers and producers. With blood lines ranging from foundation names like Doc Bar and Peppy San Badger, to the hotest bloodlines of today like High Brow Cat and Peptoboonsmal; you're sure to find a horse you need for your program.
We have also acquired NCHA Open Futurity Finalist, Poco Okie Doke (x Docs Okie Quixote, NCHA Triple Crown Champion). Who has already produced over $103,000 in money earners. We're offering him at stud for an introductory package of only $750 including booking and chute fees, in 2008 only!
