Fred's sire is Randle Doc, a talented own son of Doc O’ Lena, who was being trained for the cutting futurities when an unfortunate accident caused him to lose one eye, thereby ending his chance at a career.
His dam is Pretty Handy Doc, a very talented mare who has earned 44 AQHA Performance Points as follows:
- A Register of Merit in Heading (20 Open Performance Points)
- 11 points in Dally Heeling
- 10 points in Reining (3 shows = 3 wins)
- 3 points in Working Cow Horse (2 shows = 2 wins)
