Mis Royal Badger
A flashy bay mare with a big blaze and two hind socks. We negotiated the purchase of this young mare last fall for her potential as a producer. We are thrilled to have her, as she is of out of Pretty Handy Doc, who has proven herself in the pen, and as a broodmare.
She is sired by San Man Colonel, who is from money earning parents. His sire, San Colonel is an NCHA money earner of over $12,000, and is an own son of Peppy San Badger. His dam, Bit A Colonel is also an NCHA money earner, and an own daughter of Colonel Freckles.
Mis Royal Badger's dam Pretty Handy Doc is not only an own daughter of the legendary Handle Bar Doc, but also has 44 AQHA Performance Points of her own (Heading = 20pt., Dally Heeling = 11pt., Reining = 10pt., Working Cow Horse = 2pt.) and a Register of Merit (ROM) in Heading. She is the dam of stallions by Freckles Playboy, Right On Tivio, and BB Smokin Wolf, among others. Her sire Handle Bar Doc, is the only World Champion son of Doc Bar. Even his half-brother Doc O'Lena can't make that claim!
Mis Royal Badger had a filly nicknamed Cat this April sired by Cat’s Highlight (a son of High Brow Cat), and it is a ‘nick’, so she will be rebred to him for a 2008 foal. We will post pictures soon.
